Guest Speaker: Claudia Albano

Claudia Albano is a lifelong community organizer with deep roots in our neighborhood. In the late 1970s, she led the grassroots effort that created Peralta Hacienda Historical Park, rallying neighbors and meeting in the very same school where our council gathers today. Her decades of work span housing justice, youth empowerment, and neighborhood revitalization. Claudia has taught graduate courses in community organizing at UC Berkeley’s School of Social Welfare. She brings both the history of our community and the skills to shape its future.
